Current night skincare routine (summer 2013)

Following my previous post on my morning routine, I am now about to show you what I use for the night time.

Nel mio post precedente vi ho parlato della mia routine skincare da giorno, oggi invece vi parlerò di quella serale.

GEL DETERGENTE PURIFICANTE FARMACIA SAN PAOLO // VICHY NORMADERM (not pictured) - cleanser (local pharmacy, 10 - 13 €)

This is step is mainly my make-up removal step and it consists of a good purifying cleanser for my combination skin. The one pictured above is made from the local pharmacy, but I cannot recommend it as a good make-up remover as you need a lot of product to do it properly. For that I much prefer my Vichy Normaderm cleansing gel (one pump and your make-up is gone), which is a very good cleanser for combination/oily skins too. The only downside to it is that it dries a little. 

Questa fase è quella dello struccaggio e il prodotto adoperato è un semplice detergente purificante per la mia pelle mista. Quello che vedete nella fotografia è un detergente fatto nei laboratori della farmacia vicino casa mia, ma non lo raccomando vivamente come struccante, perché ci vuole davvero tanto prodotto per riuscire a fare una buona pulizia. Lo consiglierei più come detergente da giorno. Per lo struccaggio preferisco decisamente il Vichy Normaderm (con quello, un'erogazione e sparisce tutto), che è davvero un buon detergente per pelli miste e grasse. L'unica pecca è che secca un po' la pelle. 

NUXE LOTION TONIQUE DOUCE - toner (pharmacies, parapharmacies - 10 € ?)

I have a love/hate relationship with toners, but I had to finish this one and I am including it in my routine now. All and all it is a very good toner for sensitive skins. It is not aggressive at all and it does its job without leaving the skin looking oily. I am not a great fan of its smell, but if you like rose-scented things, this might be a good product to check out. 

Ho un rapporto d'amore/odio con i tonici, ma questo dovevo davvero finirlo quindi lo includo nella mia routine. In generale è un buon tonico per pelli sensibili, non è affatto aggressivo e non lascia la pelle oleosa. Non amo particolarmente il suo odore, ma se vi piacciono le cose che profumano di rosa, potrebbe essere un prodotto valido. 

LAVERA MATTIFYING BALANCING CREAM, ORGANIC CALENDULA - moisturizer (natural/organic stores, www.ecco-verde.it - 18,00 - 9,89 €) 

Another awesome product I have discovered while in France, thanks to a friend of mine who brought me to an organic beauty store. Not only does this cream smell delicious, but it really does what it says: it mattifies but hydrates very well and leaves the skin looking fresh and young. I really really love it and I intend to repurchase it. It is also a very good base for your foundation and you only need the tiniest amount. I highly recommend it, and it would definitely be worth the 18 euros I paid it, if only I didn't find out that an international site, namely Ecco Verde is selling it for half of the price! How is this possible, I don't know and I don't even wanna know, but I will be repurchasing mine from the site. I will also check out the rest of the Lavera products.

Un altro prodotto magnifico che ho scoperto in Francia grazie ad un'amica che mi ha portato in un negozio eco-bio. Non solo questa crema idratante ha un profumo delizioso, ma mantiene tutte le promesse: opacizza idratando davvero bene e conferisce un aspetto fresco e giovane alla pelle. Mi piace davvero tanto e sicuramente la ricomprerò. E' anche una bellissima base per il fondotinta e in più ne occorre davvero pochissima. La consiglio caldamente, anche se si trova nei negozi ad un prezzo abbastanza alto: infatti varrebbe tutti i 18 euro che l'ho pagata, se non fosse che su Ecco Verde si vende per la metà! Come questo sia possibile, non lo so e non lo voglio sapere. Sicuramente io la ricomprerò da questo sito e proverò anche qualche altro prodotto di Lavera. 

SKINCEUTICALS EYE BALM - eye cream (pharmacies - 50 + €)

I received this eye cream as a sample to try at a bloggers' event, and I find it extremely good. I love how rich it is, as I have very dry skin contouring my eyes. I think this will be a great product for mature skins. I still have a lot left after 2 or 3 months of usage, but I can't say I will repurchase it because it is outrageously overpriced.

Ho ricevuto questo contorno occhi ad un evento e lo trovo un prodotto davvero valido. Mi piace che sia una crema molto ricca, perché ho la pelle intorno agli occhi molto secca. Penso, infatti, che sia un ottimo prodotto per le pelli mature. Ne ho ancora tanto e la uso da due o tre mesi, quindi dura anche tanto. Epperò, non posso dire che la ricomprerò perché ha davvero un prezzo eccessivo.

Lastly, I want to talk to you about some skincare treatments such as masks and face scrubs.
My purifying mask of choice has recently become the Shaka one (I talked about it here, but the post is in Italian as the brand is not available elsewhere), while I use this hydrating mask from Nuxe (I spoke about it here) in order to give back a little glow to my skin after deep cleansing treatments or nights out.
In addition to that, I use a scrub that I discovered last year that hadn't made its way into my blog yet:

Ultima nota dei miei trattamenti pelle, che prescinde da questa routine, sono le maschere e l'esfoliante.

Come maschera purificante, di recente uso quella di Shaka (ve ne ho parlato qui), mentre per donare un po' di luce dopo una pulizia profonda della pelle o dopo una serata di baldoria, uso da tempo la maschera idratante Crème Fraiche di Nuxe (di questa vi ho parlato qui).

Un prodotto scoperto un anno fa, del quale non vi avevo ancora parlato, invece, è questo:

COSMECOLOGY PARIS PEEL SKIN, GOMMAGE SOIN VISAGE - Exfoliating face cream (Aestheticians that sell Mary Cohr brands - price unknown)

I discovered this when a PR from Mary Cohr contacted me and sent me some products of all brands belonging to the group. It is the only product that really stood out to me. A nice, natural face scrub in the form of a rich cream with very little beads made of apricot stone. A cool concept, a very nice product that hydrates at the same time, and a lovely smell of apricot.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how much this costs (but if you are interested I will try and find out next time I am in France, and report it to you on Facebook and Twitter) and it is only available at aestheticians who sell the Mary Cohr Group brands.

Questo l'ho scoperto lo scorso anno, quando un PR del gruppo Mary Cohr mi contattò per farmi provare un po' di prodotti di marchi appartenenti al gruppo. In realtà l'unico prodotto che abbia davvero catturato la mia attenzione è stato questo scrub naturale sotto forma di crema con granuli ricavati dalla noce di albicocca. Lo trovo un bel concetto, un buon prodotto che idrata allo stesso tempo, e che ha un buonissimo profumo di albicocca. 

Sfortunatamente non ho idea di quanto costi (ma se siete interessate posso cercare di scoprirlo la prossima voltà che sarò in Francia e dirvelo su Facebook e Twitter) ed è disponibile solo presso i centri estetici che vendono i prodotti dei marchi appartenenti al Gruppo Mary Cohr.

Current morning skincare routine (summer 2013)

Almost two months ago, I decided to go off the pill and see if my acne would reappear or not. Based on this decision, I decided to completely change my skincare regime to help my skin looking good nevertheless the sudden hormonal change.

Now, up to date my skin keeps being healthy, and there is no sign of acne so far, so I thought I might help someone by talking about the products I am currently using.

Quasi due mesi fa ho preso la decisione di smettere di assumere la pillola, per vedere se l'acne tornasse o meno. In base a questa decisione ho anche pensato di cambiare la mia routine di cura della pelle, per darle una mano a restare in buone condizioni nonostante il repentino cambiamento ormonale.

Some of them may not be available in all countries. I am lucky enough to be going to France each month, so the key product for this regime becomes available to me. Anyhow, let's get started.

Alcuni di questi prodotti potrebbero non essere disponibili in tutti i Paesi. Io sono abbastanza fortunata perché vado in Francia ogni mese, ed è proprio lì che trovo il prodotto chiave di questa routine. Ad ogni modo, iniziamo.

MORNING ROUTINE // DI GIORNO

GARANCIA - PSCHITT MAGIQUE (Sephora.fr; Parapharmacies in France; € 30,50)

I had seen this product on Eva's Youtube channel (Evamysu - subscribe if you understand French. She is a great and honest youtuber, plus she's a professional) and I had to give it a try. This product is a botanical everyday peel that comes in a foam form, and must be applied on dry skin. You rinse your hands and apply two pumps on your hands, then you apply the peel on your face (steer clear of the eye area) and let it sink in for 30 seconds (I often go further than the 30 seconds, but they do the trick) before rinsing off. I swear this product leaves my skin looking gorgeous and it does not dry my face out. I has helped me so much with my acne red scars, and helped preventing spots that I will repurchase this for life. Obviously, it is a face wash that you use in the morning (only once a day), as it does not washes off any make up. The price is huge, but two pumps a day will last for 2 months or more. I finished my 2 months period just yesterday and there is still something left. This product has changed my life.

Questo è un prodotto che vidi tempo fa sul canale di Eva (Evamysu su Youtube, e se capite il francese iscrivetevi perché lei è una youtuber onesta e soprattutto fa l'estetista/truccatrice di professione quindi da sempre buoni consigli) e datosi che la nostra pelle è molto simile ho deciso di provarlo. Praticamente è un peeling botanico (non naturale, non bio...botanico!) sotto forma di mousse, e che va applicato su pelle asciutta. Bisogna inumidire le mani, applicare su due erogazioni con la pompetta e poi stendere il prodotto sul viso (ripeto, asciutto!) evitando il contorno occhi. Lo si lascia agire per 30 secondi (io a volte vado oltre i 30 secondi, ma 30 sono sufficienti perché il prodotto agisca) prima di risciacquarlo. Vi giuro che questo peeling ha cambiato completamente la mia pelle: la lascia bellissima e non secca affatto, mi ha aiutato a ridurre il rossore di alcune macchiette lasciate dall'acne e inoltre mi ha aiutato a prevenire l'apparizione di nuovi brufoli. Lo ricomprerò a vita. Chiaramente, visto che non è un detergente struccante, va applicato la mattina (o la sera, ma solo se non ci si è truccati) ed una sola volta al giorno. Il prezzo è molto alto, ma due erogazioni giornaliere durano ben due mesi. Io ho finito i due mesi di utilizzo ieri e ancora c'è qualcosa.

SANOFLORE - ELIXIR DES REINES - Serum - (Pharmacies, Parapharmacies; prices vary 38-45 €)

I had the chance to discover this at an event, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on a sample. How awesome is this anti-ageing, glow-giving serum? Its secret is royal jelly, nothing more than a simple bee secretion (used for the nutrition of queen bees, hence the name of the product) that is known to have anti-ageing properties. 99% of the serum is made of natural ingredients, 25% of which are organic, and this really works! It feels a little tacky when you first apply it, but it sinks in immediately and leaves your skin super-supple and firm. Also, it has some light reflecting tiny particles that helps reducing the appearence of enlarged pores and fine lines, and adorn the face with a natural glow from within. The only downside to it is the price. In Italy, this can reach 45 euros, whereas I have seen this in France for 38 euros, which is expensive enough. I am currently on my second moth of usage and there is still a month or so left, I believe. If you have a job that allows you to spend 38 to 45 euros each 3 months, go for it. It is a wonderful product, and nothing more than its smell will make you feel like a queen. 

Questo è un prodotto che scoprii tempo fa ad un evento, e che mi è stato inviato poi in prova. Non riesco a dirvi quanto sia fantastico questo siero anti-età e illuminante. Il suo segreto è la pappa reale, niente di più che una semplice secrezione delle api (utilizzata per la nutrizione delle api regine, da cui viene infatti il nome del prodotto) che è nota per le sue proprietà anti-età. 99% di questo siero è fatto di ingredienti naturali, di cui 25% sono bio, e questo prodotto funziona davvero! E' un po' "colloso" quando lo si applica, ma si assorbe in un secondo e rassoda bene la pelle. Per di più ha delle microparticelle che riflettono la luce e aiutano a ridurre l'apparenza dei pori allargati e delle rughette, ed adorna il viso con una splendida luce che sembra provenire proprio dall'interno della pelle. L'unica pecca è il prezzo, che è molto alto e varia parecchio. In Italia l'ho visto anche a 45 euro, ed in Francia anche a 38, che è comunque tanto. Io lo utilizzo da due mesi e penso di averne ancora per un altro mese. Se avete un lavoro che vi permette di spendere dai 38 ai 45 euro ogni tre mesi, vi consiglio di utilizzarlo, è un prodotto davvero magnifico e il solo suo profumo vi farà sentire delle regine. 

SANOFLORE - REGARD MERVEILLEUX - eye cream (Pharmacies, Parapharmacies; 23 euros) 
 I bought this eye cream while I was in France, as I needed one and I had familiarity with the brand already. It was indeed a nice surprise. First off, its smell is divine. Secondly, it woke up my tired, puffy eyes right on. A definite repurchase, and a definite recommend...a definite marvel!

Ho comprato questo contorno occhi l'ultima volta che son stata in Francia, avendo già abbastanza familiarità con il marchio e l'ho trovato una graditissima sorpresa. Prima di tutto, il profumo è divino. Secondo, ha risvegliato il mio sguardo affaticato e appesantito immediatamente. Lo ricomprerò sicuramente e lo raccomando caldamente...davvero una meraviglia!

L'OCCITANE CREME DE BEAUTE SUBLIME - BB cream (L'Occitane stores/authorized sellers/websites 20 - 26 €)
Another discover from the last time I was in France, and another awesome product. I am usually not a fan of BB creams (I guess my most dated followers may recall this), and overall I honestly think that Western BB creams are nothing but upgraded tinted moisturizers. That being said, I also think that there aren't many tinted moisturizers/BB creams that suit the needs of combination skins. This is one of them. Its finish is matt, but not dry (more like matt on the t-zone and satin on other parts), the shades aren't that bad either and suit my yellow toned skin too. It moisturizes properly, so you don't really need to wear your usual moisturizer underneath; it does reduces enlarged pores, as well as evening out the skin tone as well. I would not say this has good coverage, but it has at least a medium one. On the box it says that it also improves the quality of your skin after 28 days of usage, and while I cannot garantee that, I can pretty much say that my skin looks good, and it has never broke me out or left me looking greasy.
Alas, it costs quite a bit, but I've been using it for two months now and I still have a ton left. I am also confused about its price: I paid it 20 euros in France, but I know that is sold for 26 in Italy.
I hope the L'Occitane team reads this and tells me why the abrupt increase.

Un'altra bella scoperta fatta l'ultima volta che mi trovavo in Francia. Le veterane di questo blog sicuramente ricorderanno che non sono una grande fan delle BB cream occidentali, e che penso che siano solo delle versioni aggiornate e migliorate delle creme colorate. Detto ciò, penso anche che non ci siano tante creme colorate/BB cream che incontrino i bisogni delle pelli miste. Ebbene, questa è una di quelle. Il suo finish è opaco, ma non piatto e "asciutto" (direi più matt nella zona T e satinato nel resto del viso), le due coloraizoni proposte non sono male e soddisfano anche la mia pelle olivastro chairo. Idrata per bene e non c'è bisogno di mettere la crema abituale sotto. Riduce l'apparenza dei pori e uniforma il colorito. Non direi che ha una coprenza buona, ma almeno media. Sulla scatola c'è anche scritto che l'utilizzo per 28 giorni dovrebbe migliorare la grana della pelle e sebbene non possa dare garanzie su questo, posso confermare che la mia pelle è in buone condizioni, che non mi ha mai dato problemi di brufoli o di pelle lucida. 

Purtroppo costa un bel po', ma la uso da due mesi e ne ho ancora tanta. Sono anche un po' confusa dalla questione del prezzo. Perché, vedete, in Francia l'ho pagata 20 euro, ma qui in Italia ne costa ben 26 (va da sé che non comprerò MAI questa BB in Italia). Spero tanto che da L'Occitane leggano questo post e mi sappiano spiegare come mai hanno deciso di alzare così bruscamente i prezzi qui. 

Overall, I love this routine, and I will stick to it for as much as I can. I hope this post has been helpful to you, and I will come back soon with the night time routine.

Review: Shaka make-up e accessori

Come molte di voi ormai sapranno, Shaka è un marchio molto low cost venduto da OVS.

Il range di prodotti è ormai molto vasto (anche nei punti vendita più piccoli) e comprende non solo trucchi, ma anche accessori utilissimi.

Nel corso dei mesi mi son stati inviati svariati prodotti, altri invece li ho comprati io perché penso che Shaka riservi grandi sorprese. Qui vedrete una carrellata dei prodotti che preferisco.

I Full Color Gloss sono una delle ultime novità del marchio e sono semplicemente fantastici. Rossetti liquidi glossati, resistenti e dal colore pieno. I colori opachi sono davvero sensazionali. Io consiglio soprattutto il n.28 perché è un rosso meraviglioso. Con i rossi consiglio però di usare una matita trasparente sul bordo labbra (ora la vendono anche da KIKO, quindi non c'è bisogno di spendere un capitale). 

Gli swatches parlano da soli, nonostante le mie doti fotografiche siano inesistenti e il rosso venga sempre un po' falsato:

Sempre nello stesso periodo sono usciti gli smalti Glitter Top Coat e le maschere S.O.S. 

Chi mi segue su Instagram avrà certamente già visto questa foto:

Gli smalti sono davvero molto carini: alcuni hanno dei grossi glitter multicolore in una base trasparente, altiri hanno glitter più piccoli ma in una base leggermente colorata. Io li trovo ideali per l'estate/le vacanze, per non avere l'incubo dello smalto che si sbecca e si vede. Ovviamente l'unica seccatura è rimuoverli dalle unghie, ma è una pena di tutti gli smalti coi glitter. La durata è come quella degli smalti glitter Ciaté, anzi, forse un po' più lunga (2 giorni e iniziano a sbeccarsi), con la differenza che costano molto meno (€2,99 contro il Ciaté preso in Francia, che se non erro ho pagato più di 10 €). 

Le maschere sono efficaci ed hanno un pack molto pratico, che si può dire nono occupi nessuno spazio.  L'unica nota negativa per me (e ovviamente questo può variare a seconda delle persone) è la sensazione di bruciore iniziale. Anche se quando levo le maschere non ci sono né rossori né reazioni allergiche, anzi, la maschera compie il suo dovere. Direi che per €1,99 vanno più che bene. Poi si possono portare in aereo senza occupare tutto lo spazio delle odiosissime bustine trasparenti, il che per me che viaggio ogni mese è un punto in più.

Scusate la qualità della foto, ma quel giorno facevano 41°C e non potevo tenere le serrande alzate.

Sempre su Instagram, poi, avrete visto la foto che ho postato nel fine settimana. Si tratta di acquisti fatti in vista dei miei spostamenti vacanzieri (sempre si possa parlare di vacanze, se durante la settimana lavori da un'altra città e vedi il mare solo nel fine settimana). Shaka infatti propone un'ampia selezione di accessori. Non parlo solo di pennelli e pochette, ma anche di spazzole, specchi, confezioni vuote di vario genere per fare il proprio kit da viaggio e vari accessori "storage". La cosa che mi ha inizialmente spinta ad andare da OVS è la palette a scomparti, che offre la possibilità di creare palette di rossetti. Io ne ho prese tre, ed ancora mi resta più della metà dei rossetti da "depottare". Il risparmio di spazio è notevole: la palette è grande quanto due rossetti e mezzo e dentro potete trasferirne ben sei! Ci vuole un po' di pratica, però. Le prime due che ho fatto sembrano davvero orrende. Alla terza è andata meglio. L'unica pecca è che poi si è costretti a portare il pennellino ovunque o usare le dita per stenderli. Anche queste palette costano solo € 4,99. 

Altro accessorio utilissimo è il porta profumo. Ormai penso conoscerete tutti il famoso Travalo. Ecco, Shaka offre una cosa del tutto simile in look e funzione, ma il meccanismo purtroppo è diverso. Il porta profumo di Shaka si apre tutto, mentre il Travalo originale si riempie direttamente dal tubicino dell'erogatore della vostra boccetta, tramite un buchino posto sul fondo del travalo, in un meccanismo simile a quello della ricarica degli accendini. La comodità del meccanismo è indiscutibile, ma non giustifica senz'altro la differenza del prezzo: € 1,99 per il Shaka, contro i 14,99 del Travalo originale. 

Ci sono poi delle cosine delle quali non ho foto, ma meritano una menzione:
- Il rossetto mat nella colorazione Devil: colore pieno, buona durata, cremosissimo e trovo che mi faccia apparire le labbra più grosse e i denti più bianchi.
- Pennelli: le forme non sono la fine del mondo, ma sono molto morbidi e direi che vanno benissimo per le ragazzine o da portare in viaggio.
- Levasmalto: senza acetone, che costa solo €1,99
- Lo specchietto led: sicuramente quelli LesTaiTai sono favolosi, ma devo dire che tra quello Shaka (prossimo acquisto, appena arriverà nel punto vendita della mia città) a € 8,99 e quello LesTaiTai che costa £ (sterline!!!) 19,00 preferisco sicuramente il primo.

Non perderei invece tempo con le polveri o gli smalti "normali", che vanno bene per le ragazzine alle prime armi, ma non sono granché per chi ha già superato l'adolescenza. Gli ombretti non hanno una scrivenza eccezionale, i blush sono troppo sbrilluccicosi, gli smalti opachi sono molto liquidi e bisogna metterne 3 passate. Quelli dagli effetti particolari li trovo migliori e li consiglio.

Tutto sommato, direi che è un brand da promuovere per l'ampia selezione di prodotti, per gli accessori utilissimi, e per i prezzi irrisori. Talk about beauty on a budget!

Here comes the sun...

...and so does the need to protect our skin from it. 

This will be a  post to tell you all about my suncare routine this summer, which is something a bit different from what everyone does. 

Basically, I think that suncare should change from city to beach/lake/pool (whatever "tanning place" you spend your time at). In my mind I feel that, depending on the context, the areas of sensitivity towards sun change.
Therefore, when I am in the city (everyday use) I tend to wear a higher spf on my face, and a lower spf on my body. In fact, when we walk in cities we tend to hide sensitive spots like our chest (well, at least during the day LOL), our back, our stomach, and our breasts (there, I said it!) with clothes, so they do not get a major exposure. What we can't really hide is our face, which is very likely to get brown spots as we age or if we are on the pill (the latter is what happened to me, and trust me, I'd rather have a white face than those horrible spots on my cheeks). 

When I go to the beach, I prefer to put a lower spf on face to let it tan gradually, and I wear the big hat you see in the picture, so that the face can be protected. I never take the hat off from 12 pm to 4 pm unless I'm swimming. The body is what remains the most under the sun, and I am too prone to getting moles, so I put a higher spf. This summer, I've found the PERFECT product for this. 

Io ho un modo tutto mio di pensare alla protezione solare. Un concetto che forse è sbagliato, ma per ora funziona. 

Vi illustrerò la mia teoria, e se la trovate folle ditemelo pure. 

In pratica penso che il modo di proteggersi dal sole debba cambiare in relazione al luogo di esposizione. In città, ad esempio, tendo a portare un fattore di protezione molto alto sul viso, ed uno meno alto sul corpo. Questo perché in verità tendiamo già a coprire le zone sensibili (schiena, pancia, petto e seno...oh yes!) con i vestiti, mentre il viso resta scoperto (oh, mica si possono portare i cappelli a mo' di regina d'inghilterra quando si va a comprare la mozzarella!). 

Invece, in spiaggia porto un spf meno alto in viso e tendo ad indossare un cappello molto grande (quello che vedete in foto), e concentro la protezione più alta sul corpo, perché è lì che ogni estate mi spunta sempre qualche neo. Tra l'altro, quest'estate ho trovato il prodotto perfetto.  

Now, I need to tell you that my face is always lighter than my body (and I don't mean white, just lighter), but I do not care. I prefer preserving my face from moles, dark spots and early aging, and having to put some make-up on to adjust the color to the rest of the body.

Also bare in mind that I live in a place where the sun hits hard during the summer, and I also live in proximity to numerous beaches, so I am frequently exposed to sun. Also, bare in mind that I naturally have light olive skin, so I tan easily and I am not prone to sun burns unless I am really dumb naive, and I don't use any protection.

Va da sé che il mio viso è sempre più chiaro rispetto al corpo, ma io me ne frego altamente. Preferisco, infatti, proteggere la faccia da nei, macchie solari (perché anche se non son così diversamente giovane, la pillola mi ha fatto uscire due belle chiazzone brune) e invecchiamento precoce ed essere costretta a unificare il colorito truccandomi.

Altra cosa da tenere a mente: abito in un posto davvero soleggiato e caldo, in prossimità di numerose spiagge, quindi io sono quasi sempre esposta al sole. Inoltre, c'è da sapere che ho una pelle olivastro chiara, quindi mi abbronzo facilmente e non mi scotto se non quando son talmente tonta da non applicare protezione.

I prodotti qui di seguito hanno un spf molto più alto di quello che viene consigliato per il mio fototipo.

The filters in this fluid are 100% mineral and paraben free. It is a fluid, therefore it does not leave a greasy residue on your face, and has a slight tint to it, although I find that is not as universal as they say. I still can see a white cast around my face, but I will apply some bronzing product over it. 

Very good protection that preps the skin for make-up as well. 

I filtri sono al 100% minerali e non contiene parabeni. E' un fluido, quindi non lascia la pelle con residui grassi. E' un po' colorato, ma non trovo sia universale come dicono. Io vedo comunque un alone bianco, ma niente che non si possa ovviare col trucco. Un'ottima protezione che prepara anche la pelle al make-up.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL spray SPF 20

A spray cream that is easy to put on and assorbs quickly. It has a good resistance to water and sweat. Never got a sun burn using this. You can find this in spf 20, 30, and 50+.

Una crema spray facile da applicare e che si assorbe velocemente. Ha una buona resistenza all'acqua e al sudore. Mai scottata usandola. Si trova in spf 20, 30, e 50+.

Ultrasun face SPF 30/ Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 30

Both creams are rich, but not greasy. If anything, the Ultrasun one mattifies! I love them because of that non-greasy effect, and the fact that they do not break me out. The Vichy one also has a pleasant smell to it, it contains thermal water and has the "dry touch technology".

Entrambe le creme son ricche, ma non grasse. Anzi, la Ultrasun opacizza! Io le amo proprio per questo effetto non grasso e per il fatto che non mi facciano uscire brufoli. Inoltre la crema Vichy ha un profumo piacevole, contiene acqua termale ed ha la cosiddetta "dry touch technology" (è un'emulsione anti-lucidità e molto resistente all'umidità, al tatto si presenta come asciutta).

Anthelios XL Huile Nutritive Invisible spf 50+

I have no idea if this is sold in every country, but is is the reason why I am typing this post. 

This product is amazing! I should wear an spf of 20 and I wore this 50+ the other day and I got tanned nevertheless. So much so I have my swimsuit marks! 

It is really an invisible oil, as it absorbs quickly without leaving any residue. It has a satin finish (thumbs up if you hate greasy looking bodies), and very nice, delicate smell to it. It nourishes, protects from sun damages, and does not give you bad reactions.

The cool thing is that it costs even less than the cream version!

Non so se questo prodotto sia venduto ovunque, ma è la sola ragione per la quale mi è saltata in mente l'idea di scrivere questo post.

E' fantastico! Dovrei mettere una protezione 20 e invece ho provato questa, che è una 50+ proprio l'altro giorno e mi sono comunque abbronzata tanto da avere i segni del costume!

La sua formula è invisibile, si assorbe rapidamente e non lascia i classici residui d'olio. Ha un finish satinato (alzi la mano chi odia i corpi oleosi) e un profumo bello e delicato. Nutre, protegge dai danni del sole e non da reazioni allergiche.

La cosa più bella? Costa anche meno della sua versione in crema!

Nutritic Intense Riche from La Roche-Posay is my current moisturizer, and I love it. 

Although it is targeted at dry skins, my sensitive combination skin has a very positive reaction to it. 

The rich gel consistency is something unique, the smell is so delicate and pleasant that makes the application some sort of aromatherapy session. 

Rich in a new generation of lipids, namely MP lipids, that will provide stimulation of protein, enzymes, and ceramids required for the process of skin renovation, Nutritic Intense Riche is hydration in a jar. 

My skin feels supple and I do not experience discomfort anymore, which is a very good thing for me as I use the Normaderm facial cleanser, which tends to dry the skin out. 

Another good thing is that it does not exacerbate the production of sebum, eventhough it is so rich.

Nonostante sia una crema per pelli secche, la mia - ch'è mista, ma sensibile - ha una reazione positivissima.

La mia pelle è rimpolpata, e non sento più quella fastidiosa sensazione di pelle "che tira". Una cosa buona, visto che come detergente utilizzo il Normaderm, che ha la tendenza a seccare un po' la pelle. 
Un'altra nota positiva è il fatto che non intensifica la produzione di sebo, sebbene sia una crema molto ricca.

Normaderm Hyaluspot

If, like me, you're prone to break-outs or the occasional spot (that becomes monstruous in 3, 2, 1...) this is definitely the product for you.

What makes Normaderm Hyaluspot different from other anti-spot gels on the market? Everything!

This gel, which contains hyaluronic acid, salicidic acid + LHA (ingredients that are already known for their anti-ageing properties) does not absorb and disappear on the skin. Rather, it forms a film that dries out leaving some kind of patch on the spot, as to protect it from being in contact with anything else in the world, while the ingredients work their magic. 

The applicator in this anti-imperfection gel is made of metal and it is especially designed to prevent you from touching the irritation while applying Hyaluspot. It also provides a nice cooling sensation. 

How to make the "patch effect" disappear, I hear you say. Well, first you need apply a thin layer of loose powder on top of it with a sponge, then you can use your favorite concealer or foundation and tap it onto the imperfection. Bear in mind, I specifically used the word "tapping", because dragging would drag away the patch too. Needless to say, all of this is to be done when the patch is dry. 

Se, come me, siete inclini agli sfoghi o al brufoletto occasionale (che diventa mostruoso in men che non si dica) questo è decisamente il prodotto che fa per voi.

Ma cosa rende così diverso Normaderm dagli altri gel? Tutto!

Infatti questo gel, a base di acido ialuronico ed acido salicidico + LHA (ingredienti già noti per le loro proprietà anti-invecchiamento) non si assorbe e non sparisce. Anzi, durante l'asciugatura forma una pellicola sul brufolo - una specie di cerotto, come per proteggerlo dal contatto con il mondo esterno nel frattempo che gli ingredienti agiscono. 

L'applicatore è fatto di metallo ed è stato creato appositamente per evitare il contatto con l'irritazione durante l'applicazione di Hyaluspot. Inoltre, dà una sensazione rinfrescante. 

Sono sicura che vi stiate chiedendo, però, come far sparire il cerottino. Bene, prima di tutto bisogna applicare uno strato finissimo di polvere libera con una spugnetta, poi si può passare all'applicazione del correttore o fondotinta preferito, picchiettando. Attenzione, perché ho detto "picchiettando". Gli altri tipi di applicazione potrebbero portar via il cerotto. Va da sé che tutte queste cose son da fare quando il cerotto è asciutto.

Does it really work? 

Oh yes. As soon as you see/feel something growing under your skin, a little of Normaderm Hyaluspot can stop it from growing and make it disappear. 

Spots that have already grown are harder to fight. They will not go away overnight, but the gel will calm their infection and dry them little by little.

The other cool thing about this gel is that it will not leave those disgusting purple-like marks after having dried out the infection.

Downsides

There is an undesired effect: do not put this on when you are going to the beach. Not sure if it is the exposure to the sun, or the salty water, but it will burn. And so will your skin. 

 Funziona veramente? 

Oh, yes! Appena sentite/vedete che c'è un vulcano pronto all'erosione sotto la vostra pelle, un pochino di Normaderm Hyaluspot vi aiuterà a fermarne la crescita ed, anzi, a farlo sparire.

Per i brufoli già avanzati la lotta sarà più impegnativa. Non se ne andranno via in men che non si dica, ma il gel calmerà l'infezione e li seccherà pian pianino. 

L'altra cosa bella di questo gel è che non lascia quelle orribili macchie violacee dopo aver seccato l'infezione.

Effetti negativi

Ebbene sì, c'è un effetto indesiderato: non bisogna utilizzare Hyaluspot quando si va al mare. Non so bene se sia l'esposizione al sole o l'acqua salata, ma credetemi: brucia. E la vostra pelle con lui.

E' una cosa che ho riscontrato solo al mare, non in generale nelle giornate soleggiate. Fateci attenzione.
