February is the Carnival month in Italy, and although I am not really proud of how my costume turned out, I will show you who I was for the night of "Giovedì Grasso", when I went clubbing with my roommate and some other girls.
Nonostante non sia veramente soddisfatta di come sia uscito il mio travestimento di quest'anno, vi mostro la mia maschera del Giovedì Grasso, per la festa in maschera in una discoteca a cui sono andata con la mia coinquilina ed altre amiche.
I dressed as a Geisha, eventhough I mixed a little: the dress I bought was actually typically Chinese (as opposed as the original, which is Japanese) and I went so exteme with the make-up that some girls thought I was dressed as a tranny. Not nice, considering it took me more than one hour to complete the look, which you cannot see really well in picture. I must admit, though, I did look a little drag-queen-ish....
Io mi sono vestita da Geisha, anche se devo dire ho fatto un po' di miscugli vari, visto che il vestito è cinese e non giapponese, e che ho calcato così tanto la mano col trucco che alcune ragazze dietro di me per la fila del guardaroba pensavano fossi mascherata da trans. Non è stato molto bello, considerando poi che mi ci è voluta più di un'ora per completare il tutto, anche se le foto non rendono tanto giustizia.
Effettivamente, però, un po' drag queen china sembravo...

I didn't paint my whole face in white (I just did the eye, nose, and forhead area), because white makes your teeth look so damn yellow, I could not bear seeing myself like that.
I also "erased" my eyebrows, which is quite hard because I have thick eyebrows, and draw in some new ones.
Non ho dipinto di bianco tutta la faccia (ho fatto solo l'area del contorno occhi, naso e fronte) perché altrimenti mi avrebbe fatto i denti così gialli che non ce l'avrei proprio fatta a mostrarli in pubblico.
Ho anche "cancellato" le sopracciglia, cosa davvero difficile da fare su di me, visto che le mie sono naturalmente spesse.

Madina Milano Gel liner in Pot in Black (on my eyes and to draw my new eyebrows)
Illamasqua False eyelashes. I cannot remember the number of them, but they were so so long and curled.
I put on a black wig and that was it :)
