Sephora haul: Sleek, Bare Minerals, Pupa

I've finally made it and been to the only Sephora in my region! I was so happy, and I could easily get lost in the place. Beauty junkie heaven, that is.
Here is what I picked up: the Bare Minerals Try.Believe.Love. face kit, the Sleek Oh So Special Palette, and (well, actually I didn't buy this one at Sephora) the Pupa Very Vintage lipstick.

Finalmente ce l'ho fatta: sono stata nell'unico Sephora presente nella mia regione. Ero così felice, e mi sarei persa molto facilmente (e volentieri) la dentro. Un paradiso per una drogata di cosmetici come me. 

Ecco quello che ho comprato: il kit viso di Bare Minerals Try.Believe.Love, la palette Oh So Special di Sleek e (beh, in realtà questo non l'ho comprato da Sephora) il rossetto della collezione Very Vintage di Pupa. 

Quick general thoughts / rapide impressioni generali.

The Bare Minerals kit has amazed me. These are by far the best mineral foundations and concealers I have ever tried. I am IN LOVE with the Original Bare Minerals foundation. If only it didn't cost so much...

Il kit di Bare Minerals mi ha stupefatta. Decisamente sono i migliori fondotinta e correttori minerali che abbia mai provato. Sono INNAMORATA del fondotinta Original. Se solo non costasse così tanto...

The kit contains a Mineral Veil (translucent powder), a Matte foundation, an Original foundation, a Mineral Concealer and two travel sized brushes: one for concealers, and the other for powders.

The Sleek Oh So Special palette is, as per usual, great value for the money.
These colors are perfect for daytime looks, but you can always jazz them up with the darkest shades on the right of the palette. Plus, it contains some pinks/corals. I've used this a lot lately.

La palette Oh So Special di Sleek, come sempre, è un grande affare. 

I colori sono perfetti per il giorno, ma si possono sempre abbinare a quelli più scuri nella parte destra della palettina per creare dei trucchi un po' più accattivanti per la sera. Inoltre, contiene anche dei rosa/corallo. L'ho usata parecchio in questo periodo. 

Pupa Very Vintage lippie: there are some pros and cons.
The pros: beautiful shade. Glossy finish.
The cons: not the best application; the lipstick is way too soft.

Rossettino Pupa Very Vintage: ci sono pro e contro.

Pro: colore meraviglioso, finish lucido.

Contro: non di facile applicazione, il rossetto è davvero troppo morbido.

Of course I am not half as beautiful, and my camera and lighting are not exactly the same, but I am happy with how it come out anyway

All I remember is that I used the KIKO mat coloursphere in 203 (both shades) and the purple, purplish taupe, and indigo in the Bohemian palette. A gold and bronze FOTD

Here we go again: I took pics with flash, and it bleached out my face because my foundation as an SPF :(
The flash also made my lipgloss appear spotty and not good looking at all, but I swear it is a lovely lipgloss!

This look is perfect for those of you who have blue eyes, or eyes that have a blue component in them. It makes the blue more visible!

Face of the (yester)day

This is the look I sported for my friend's graduation(not the one in the picture), yesterday.
I wore a blue and black dress (although you can't really see it...it's lovely), so my makeup was based on those colors.

By the way, Congratulations "French"! I love you to bits, you were perfect yesterday!

The weather was a little bit hotter today, and I had lots of wonderful new goodies to play with (from my swap).
Pictures don't do it justice, because it's just so hard to photograph these blue/green/teal colors at night if your lighting is poor. Anyway, you get the drift, this will look lovely in spring evenings ;)

eofn: Urban Decay Inspired series, part II

For my inspiration picture, click here, although I am sure you all know where it comes from by now.

U.D. does not sell in Italy, so no, I did not use any U.D. product for this look...

...and that reminds me that I don't really need it, because I can have the same effect with other things I already have,
but since I can find U.D. in London I'm going to buy a palette nevertheless - ahah...I call it investment. Or being spoilt.

This look was actually pretty easy and fast. Cropping the pictures and uploading them was not, on the other hand.
The connection in my dorm SUCKS!

The flash captured pigments so much that it looks wet. It is not. And my skin's not oily, but I'm wearing no foundation.
I was just bored and only did 1 eye to try it out ehehe...

So the products I used are:

e.l.f. eye primer;
the "lightest" bright blue in the Sleek Acid palette;
blended in with the very light glittery baby blue in my Pupa Precious gold palette;
an orang-y shimmery e/s blended in the crease from a Pupa palette;
Yellow/gold glittery e/s from my Pupa Precious gold palette highlighting the browbone, and on the inner corner;
black kajal pencil in the waterline, upperlashline and in the crease (yep!);
Pupa Diva's lashes mascara (ran out of my Sexy Curves today, and didn't want to use the Lancome one for a trial)


I guess this prooves us all that we don't need every single eyeshadow that is released, we just want them.
At least, I do, and I often give in...

fotd: Urban Decay campaign inspired.

I love Urban Decay, and eventhough they do not sell in Italy I have decided to replicate one of the looks for their recent campaigns, which are genious!
We have no such product as Ink for Eyes, but I do have a navy blue matt eyeshadow from Pupa, which has just the same color. Unfortunately, I didn't have anything to make it a little big glossier.

Pardon the messy eyebrows, I really couldn't fix them today.

This look is awesome for a night out. I didn't wear this today, I just gave it a go, because the navy tricotted vest reminded me of that look (as you can see, I was wearing it on a grey shirt).
