Review: Madina Milano I Love My Cheeks blushers

As you may know if you are a regular reader of this blog, back in March I was in Milan for a beauty bloggers event and I had the chance to visit a Madina Milano store (in particular, the one located in Via Meravigli). My visit ended up with tons of lovely goodies the brand offered me. Their generousity was such, I feel guilty for not posting this before.

Se siete lettrici regolari di questo blog, saprete sicuramente che a Marzo sono stata a Milano per un evento blogger, e lì ho avuto l'opportunità di visitare un negozio Madina Milano (per essere precisi, quello sito in Via Meravigli). La mia visitina si è conclusa con una valanga di prodotti di cui il marchio mi ha gentilmente omaggiata. La loro generosità è stata tale che non posso che sentirmi in colpa per non aver avuto la possibilità di postare questa recensione prima di oggi. 

Let me start by saying something about the experience of being in a Madina Milano store. Just a few words: you enter, and you're greeted with the most cheerful smile by their MUA/sale assistant (who are all amongst the top sale assistants in Milan, by the way). Everyone in the store knows exactly what they're doing, and above all they know something about make-up, because they love it! Their service is impeccable: friendly, honest, quick, and prone to problem-solving. If you need a piece of advice, you can always trust them. 

Doverosamente, inizierò questo post raccontandovi di quella che è l'esperienza del negozio Madina. Appena si entra, si è salutati dal super-gioviale sorriso dei loro MUA/addetti alle vendite (tutti sempre ai primi posti nella classifica dei migliori addetti alle vendite della città). Ognuno all'interno del negozio sa esattamente cosa fare, e soprattutto si intende di trucco, perché tutti gli addetti alle vendite Madina amano il make-up! Il loro servizio è impeccabile: amichevole, onesto, rapido, incline al problem-solving (se dovesse essercene bisogno). Se occorre un consiglio, potete fidarvi di loro.

Now, let's move on to the review: these lovely blushers (I love My Cheeks) are part of Madina's spring collection that is so colorful and bright.
Texture wise, nothing can beat Madina's powders: they are velvetly soft and blend wonderfully. The color pay-off is exceptional. I own some Estee Lauder blushers which I love, but I can tell you quite proudly that Madina blushers are way better then them.
Now, I've chosen 054 - Miranda, which is a matte cool pink shade, and 075 - Hot-line, a duo that contains an orangy peach and very hot (leaning towards red) pink. Mixed together, these two shades make the perfect bright peach with a bit of sheen. My go-to blusher for this summer!
The price tag is only € 7,90 - great value for the money.

Ora, passiamo alla vera e propria recensione: questi bellissimi fard (I Love My Cheeks) fanno parte della collezione primaverile Madiniana, tutta dai colori accesi. 

In relazione alla texture, vi posso dire che niente riesce a battere le polveri di Madina: sono morbide come il velluto e si sfumano meravigliosamente. La scrivenza è eccezionale. Possiedo dei fard di Estee Lauder che adoro, ma posso assicurarvi con orgoglio che i fard di Madina sono molto meglio. 

Ho scelto le colorazioni 054 - Miranda, che è un rosa freddo ed opaco, e la 075 - Hot-line, un duo che contiene un color salmone aranciato ed un rosa molto caldo (che si avvicina al rosso). Mischiati, questi due colori fanno un perfetto colore pescato acceso e con un po' di luminosità. Decisamente sarà il fard che userò di più quest'estate. 

Il costo?! E' solo di € 7,90 - un vero affare!

Bloggers Event: Dove Beauty Finish

Hello everyone,
finally a post from me. A long overdue one.
Back in March I went to Milan to attend the Dove Beauty Finish bloggers event, where they wanted to show us a new product in their range, that is the Beauty Finish deodorant. To be precise, it is marketed as more than that (a deodorant): it is "a beauty product for your armpits".
How is that possible? Well, Dove Beauty Finish has some perlescent mica powders that will reflect lights and even out any imperfection from your armpits. That means, it will reduce the appearence of little hairs growing too!
We were given a sample to try and review, but mine has been held at security checks in the airport, so I can only say that the product has a lovely, long lasting scent, and it does not stain your shirt. Other than that, I will buy it, and report back about the mica powders. Just in time for the nice weather to start.

finalmente vi posto qualcosa.Qualcosa che avrei dovuto postare da un bel po'.

A marzo ho avuto l'opportunità di partecipare all'evento blogger Dove Beauty Finish, tenutosi a Milano, in cui siamo state invitate a provare la loro ultima novità: il deodorante Beauty Finish. Ad essere precisi, però non si tratta solo di un deodorante, ma piuttosto di quello che loro pubblicizzano come un "accessorio di bellezza" per le nostre ascelle.

Com'è possibile?, vi chiederete. Beh, il Dove Beauty Finish contiene delle polveri minerali (mica) che riflettono la luce, diminuendo così le imperfezioni. Questo significa che dovrebbe ridurre anche l'apparenza dei peletti in ricrescita!

Ci è stato consegnato un campione da provare, ma purtroppo il mio (versione spray) è stato bloccato all'aeroporto e dunque ho avuto modo di provarlo solo a Milano. Per ora posso dire che ha un profumo davvero bellissimo ed è anche piuttosto durevole. Inoltre, ho constatato che non ha lasciato macchie sulle magliette. 

Per considerazioni sulle polveri minerali perlescenti, rimanderò tutto a quando comprerò direttamente il prodotto...giusto in tempo per l'inizio del bel tempo.

The event took place at the Spazio Manzoni, in downtown Milan. The location was rather shabby chic, with its interior white parquet floor, Dove products, girly stuff such as make-up and lovely tops all over the place, in order to recreate the Sex & The City theme of the event. Each one of us could use a t-shirt or a tank top that best suit their spirits, so that that we could impersonate one of the characters.
You could also have your henné tattoo done, or have a refreshment with the lovely food that was served to us, including the now infamous macarons (which I've been told are super popular among fashion bloggers).
And what I love the most is that I had the chance of meeting up with some fellow bloggers there, such as Olivia from Confessions of a Makeupholic, Mary from Ibisco Lilla, Manu from Manuki's Makeup and Creativity, Veronica from Veronique Très Jolie, Loretta from The Glamorous Side of Life, Melly from Melly.it and more.

L'evento ha avuto luogo presso lo Spazio Manzoni, al centro di Milano. Location molto shabby chic, con interni di parquet bianco, i prodotti Dove e tante cosine carine e femminili come trucchi e magliettine carine sparse qua e là, in modo da ricreatre l'atmosfera di Sex & The City, tema dell'evento.
Ad ognuna di noi è stata data la possibilità di usare le magliette o le canotte che meglio rappresentavano i proprio umore/carattere cosicché potessimo impersonare il nostro personaggio preferito.
Era possibile farsi fare anche un carinissimo tatuaggio all'henné o rifocillarsi un po' con i manicaretti a nostra disposizione, compresi i famosi macarons (che a quanto pare impazzano tra le fashion bloggers).
Ciò che mi è piaciuto di più è stata l'occasione per incontrare e conoscere le altre blogger:

Apologies and an update

Hi lovely readers,

it has been a month now that I haven't done a blog post and I really wanted to apologize with you all. 

Many big changes took place in my life, and as I tried to deal with them, I lost my blogging mojo. Sorry about that, I promise I will be back soon, but as of now I hope you understand that my posts will be a little sporadic while I try to adjust to my new way of living. 

I kind of refrain from switching my camera on, but it's about time I do that and download some photos to include in my posts. 

I will leave you all with a quote that sums up how I felt and still feel some way. Don't take it wrong, I think it is very accurate and true, and I hope it gives you some food for thought:

Salve a tutte care lettrici, 

è passato ormai un mese dal mio ultimo post e mi voglio scusare con voi tutte. 

Parecchi avvenimenti e grossi cambiamenti hanno avuto luogo di recente e mentre cercavo di affrontare tutte queste novità, mi sono resa conto di aver perso la mia vena. Mi dispiace molto e vi prometto che presto tornerò. Nel frattempo, spero capiate che i miei post diventeranno abbastanza sporadici, visto che cerco di adattarmi alla nuova vita. 

Cerco di non accendere mai la fotocamera, ma credo sia venuto il momento di prendere il coraggio in mano e farlo e scaricare quelle foto che mi servono per i post. 

Vi lascio, intanto, con una citazione che esprime un po' il mio stato d'animo. Non prendetela nel modo sbagliato, io penso che sia tanto vera. Spero vi dia un po' di cibo per la mente:

Tutti i cambiamenti, anche i più desiderati, hanno la loro malinconia, perché ciò che lasciamo dietro è una parte di noi. Dobbiamo morire in una vita prima di poter entrare in un'altra.

Madina Milano Prisma Shine swatches

I love Prisma Shine (from the Revolution range by Madina Milano) powders: they're such an innovative product! I will explain more in-depth in a full review, but just know that they are awesome and addictive :P

Io amo le polveri Prisma Shine di Madina (della linea Revolution): sono un prodotto veramente innovativo! Vi spiegherò il perché in una recensione completa, ma sappiate che sono stupende e creano dipendenza :P

Preview: Madina Milano Have a Bright Day - To Live and To Be Free collections

Here is a little preview of some other spring products from Madina. I've already showed you the To Imagine collection in a previews post (check out Madina in my labels, I have no time for cross-linking, as you know I lack internet connection), this is just the second part.
Pictured above you can see the two To Live Living lipsticks, both creamy and bright, but still quite wearable on any occasion, as they're a bit sheer and luminous. One is called Joie de Vivre, and the other one is called I Feel Loved. Nice names huh? Their price is € 6,90.
Next are two glosses with similar colors to the shadows, but I forgot to swatch them, sorry. I've become such a lipstick girl!
Then there is a lovely blusher that glides on like silk and it's called To Live Living blush, in the shade Love is in the Air. The concept behind it is that the mix of shades in it (it's one of those blushers that look a bit like a mosaic) should recapture the flush of color and luminosity one has when being in love. Nice.
Next up is a new shade in their Luxe Eyeliner range: shade 15, which is a lovely and creamy plum that shows even on the waterline (that's hard to find in a purple eyeliner), and their plum mascara, which is a recent rave in all Madina fans.

Eccovi una piccola anteprima di altri prodotti primaverili firmati Madina. Vi ho già parlato in un post precedente della collezione primaverile Have a Bright Day To Imagine collection, ora invece vi farò vedere qualche foto della To Live. 

Nella foto in alto si può vedere lo stand, dove ci sono i due rossetti To Live Living lipsticks, entrambi molto cremosi e dai colori accesi, tuttavia abbastanza portabili in ogni occasione per il loro finish un po' sheer e luminoso. Uno si chiama Joie de Vivre e l'altro I Feel Loved. Bei nomi, vero? Hanno un prezzo di € 6,90 caduno e possono già essere acquistati sul sito.  
Poi ci sono i due lucidalabbra che mi sono dimenticata di swatchare, ma che come potete vedere
hanno delle tonalità molto simili a quelle dei rossetti. 
Dopodiché c'è uno dei pezzi forti, ossia il To Live Living Blush, nella tonalità Love is in the Air. Il concetto è che il mix di colori di questo fard riprenda un po' la tonalità e la luminosità del rossore di quando si è innamorati. Molto carina come cosa. In più questa polvere è davvero setosa e scivola che è una meraviglia. 
Ancora, altri due nuovi prodotti: la matita Luxe Eyeliner numero 15, che è un bel prugna cremoso che scrive anche all'interno dell'occhio (cosa molto difficile da trovare coi viola) e il mascara volumizzante dello stesso colore, che recentemente sta spopolando tra tutte le "Madinine".

The last part of this collection is the To Be Free one, comprising of three powder eyeshadows, all in bright colors (the pastel yellow is BEAUTIFUL) and a bronzer called Free to Bronze, in the shade Sweet Liberty, whose concept is similar to the blusher I've mentioned before. As per usual, this powder glides on like a dream. Sorry I haven't taken a picture of the swatches for this collection here, you should know I had a temperature when I was there, so I wasn't in my right mind.

L'ultima parte di questa collezione è la To Be Free, che comprende tre ombretti in polvere, tutti molto accesi (il giallo pastello è MERAVIGLIOSO), e un bronzer che si chiama Free to Bronze, nella tonalità Sweet Liberty, il cui concetto è simile a quello del fard che vi ho mostrato su. Come sempre, questa polvere si sfuma che è una meraviglia ed è setosa. 

Mi dispiace di non aver fatto le foto agli swatches, ma con la febbre non avevo proprio testa. 

Preview: Madina Milano Hyper Intensity Eye Pencil

These are some new eye pencils I saw in a Madina store (not available online yet) that have caught my eye when I was in Milan.
Not only are they super pigmented, but they are also very creamy and ideal for a smoky eye on-the-go.
They have one end with the pencil itself, and another end with a super nice and soft natural bristles brush, ideal for smoking out the liner and also blend some eyeshadow on it.

Le matite occhi che vi faccio vedere in questo post sono delle matite di Madina che ho visto

in negozio mentre ero a Milano e che mi hanno veramente colpita.

Non solo sono super scriventi, ma sono anche molto cremose e ideali per uno smoky facile e veloce.

Hanno una parte con la mina ed un'altra parte con uno sfumino davvero molto bello, in setole naturali, ideale per fare lo smoky e per sfumare anche un po' di ombretto.

They retail for € 10,00 which you may find very pricey, considering their regular pencils are € 1,90, but I can assure they are worth every cent.

Ho fatto una linea e una linea sfumata con il pennellino incluso per farvi vedere l'effetto della sfumatura e anche quanto sfumi bene il pennello. 

Il prezzo di vendita è di € 10,00 che potrà sembrare alto, specialmente se si considera che le loro matite normali costano € 1,90, ma vi posso assicurare che valgono ogni centesimo.
