La Roche-Posay Nutritic Intense Riche

Nutritic Intense Riche from La Roche-Posay is my current moisturizer, and I love it. 

Although it is targeted at dry skins, my sensitive combination skin has a very positive reaction to it. 

The rich gel consistency is something unique, the smell is so delicate and pleasant that makes the application some sort of aromatherapy session. 

Rich in a new generation of lipids, namely MP lipids, that will provide stimulation of protein, enzymes, and ceramids required for the process of skin renovation, Nutritic Intense Riche is hydration in a jar. 

My skin feels supple and I do not experience discomfort anymore, which is a very good thing for me as I use the Normaderm facial cleanser, which tends to dry the skin out. 

Another good thing is that it does not exacerbate the production of sebum, eventhough it is so rich. 

Nutritic Intense Riche di La Roche-Posay è la crema giorno che sto usando in questo periodo e, devo ammettere, la adoro.

Nonostante sia una crema per pelli secche, la mia - ch'è mista, ma sensibile - ha una reazione positivissima. 

La consistenza di gel ricco è qualcosa di unico, il profumo è così delicato e piacevole che rende l'applicazione una sorta di sessione aromaterapica. 

Ricca di lipidi di nuova generazione, gli MP lipidi, che stimolano la produzione di proteine, enzimi e ceramidi necessari per il processo di rinnovazione della pelle, Nutritic Intense Riche è l'idratazione in un barattolo.

La mia pelle è rimpolpata, e non sento più quella fastidiosa sensazione di pelle "che tira". Una cosa buona, visto che come detergente utilizzo il Normaderm, che ha la tendenza a seccare un po' la pelle. 
Un'altra nota positiva è il fatto che non intensifica la produzione di sebo, sebbene sia una crema molto ricca.

Normaderm Hyaluspot

If, like me, you're prone to break-outs or the occasional spot (that becomes monstruous in 3, 2, 1...) this is definitely the product for you.

What makes Normaderm Hyaluspot different from other anti-spot gels on the market? Everything!

This gel, which contains hyaluronic acid, salicidic acid + LHA (ingredients that are already known for their anti-ageing properties) does not absorb and disappear on the skin. Rather, it forms a film that dries out leaving some kind of patch on the spot, as to protect it from being in contact with anything else in the world, while the ingredients work their magic. 

The applicator in this anti-imperfection gel is made of metal and it is especially designed to prevent you from touching the irritation while applying Hyaluspot. It also provides a nice cooling sensation. 

How to make the "patch effect" disappear, I hear you say. Well, first you need apply a thin layer of loose powder on top of it with a sponge, then you can use your favorite concealer or foundation and tap it onto the imperfection. Bear in mind, I specifically used the word "tapping", because dragging would drag away the patch too. Needless to say, all of this is to be done when the patch is dry. 

Se, come me, siete inclini agli sfoghi o al brufoletto occasionale (che diventa mostruoso in men che non si dica) questo è decisamente il prodotto che fa per voi.

Ma cosa rende così diverso Normaderm dagli altri gel? Tutto!

Infatti questo gel, a base di acido ialuronico ed acido salicidico + LHA (ingredienti già noti per le loro proprietà anti-invecchiamento) non si assorbe e non sparisce. Anzi, durante l'asciugatura forma una pellicola sul brufolo - una specie di cerotto, come per proteggerlo dal contatto con il mondo esterno nel frattempo che gli ingredienti agiscono. 

L'applicatore è fatto di metallo ed è stato creato appositamente per evitare il contatto con l'irritazione durante l'applicazione di Hyaluspot. Inoltre, dà una sensazione rinfrescante. 

Sono sicura che vi stiate chiedendo, però, come far sparire il cerottino. Bene, prima di tutto bisogna applicare uno strato finissimo di polvere libera con una spugnetta, poi si può passare all'applicazione del correttore o fondotinta preferito, picchiettando. Attenzione, perché ho detto "picchiettando". Gli altri tipi di applicazione potrebbero portar via il cerotto. Va da sé che tutte queste cose son da fare quando il cerotto è asciutto.

Does it really work? 

Oh yes. As soon as you see/feel something growing under your skin, a little of Normaderm Hyaluspot can stop it from growing and make it disappear. 

Spots that have already grown are harder to fight. They will not go away overnight, but the gel will calm their infection and dry them little by little.

The other cool thing about this gel is that it will not leave those disgusting purple-like marks after having dried out the infection.

Downsides

There is an undesired effect: do not put this on when you are going to the beach. Not sure if it is the exposure to the sun, or the salty water, but it will burn. And so will your skin. 

 Funziona veramente? 

Oh, yes! Appena sentite/vedete che c'è un vulcano pronto all'erosione sotto la vostra pelle, un pochino di Normaderm Hyaluspot vi aiuterà a fermarne la crescita ed, anzi, a farlo sparire.

Per i brufoli già avanzati la lotta sarà più impegnativa. Non se ne andranno via in men che non si dica, ma il gel calmerà l'infezione e li seccherà pian pianino. 

L'altra cosa bella di questo gel è che non lascia quelle orribili macchie violacee dopo aver seccato l'infezione.

Effetti negativi

Ebbene sì, c'è un effetto indesiderato: non bisogna utilizzare Hyaluspot quando si va al mare. Non so bene se sia l'esposizione al sole o l'acqua salata, ma credetemi: brucia. E la vostra pelle con lui.

E' una cosa che ho riscontrato solo al mare, non in generale nelle giornate soleggiate. Fateci attenzione.

Vichy Nurtiextra Fluid body care

Just a quick post to tell you a little about my current body moisturizing regime, comprising of the Vichy Nutriextra fluid. 

I am usually a body butter person, as I have extremely dehydrated legs. However, when summer comes, body butter become a little to heavy to wear and to massage on your body, as they have some kind of warming effect. Usually, I am left with regular moisturizers which I would have to apply every two hours. 

This year, I jumped on the Vichy Nutriextra bandwagon and I am super happy about it! Not mentioning the lovely smell, this moisturizer feels like water on your skin! It is really replenishing and nourishing, and although I am not sure about the "2-day continuous comfort" claim, I can garantee you, you don't have to reapply it during the day. 

Un post rapido giusto per darvi una dritta su un prodotto di cura del corpo che sto usando in questo momento, ovvero Vichy Nutriextra Fluido.

Di solito preferisco i burri corpo, per via delle mie gambe completamente disidratate. Tuttavia, d'estate i burri possono diventare un po' troppo pesanti da portare e da massaggiare, per via del loro effetto di "calore" sulla pelle. Così mi ritrovo sempre a dover usare creme normali, che purtroppo dovrei riapplicare ogni due ore. 

Quest'anno, anche io mi son data a Vichy Nutriextra e ne sono felicissima! A parte il profumo tanto piacevole, devo dire che questa crema sembra quasi acqua sulla pelle! E' davvero rimpolpante e nutritiva, anche se non posso garantire nulla sull'effetto "due giorni di comfort continuato". Posso però garantirvi che non sono costretta a riapplicarla più volte durante la giornata. 

Nutriextra Fluid is non-sticky, non-greasy, paraben free, suitable for sensitive skins and it is sold in a 200 ml format at your local Vichy-selling-pharmacies. 

I am not sure about the price, as this was a sample provided to me from Vichy, but I doubt it is super expensive.

Nutriextra Fluid è non appiccicoso, non grasso, privo di parabeni, adatto anche alle pelli sensibili e viene venduto nel formato 200 ml presso tutti i rivenditori Vichy  (farmacie e parafarmacie).

Non son sicura del prezzo, perché è un campione fornitomi dall'azienda, ma dubito sia caro.

Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10 eyes & lashes

The newst addition to the Vichy eye creams is part of the Liftactiv line, and it is called Liftactiv Serum 10 eyes & lashes. 

Yes, you heard that right: lashes! In fact, this serum promises to strenghten your lashes, as well as lighten up your look (due to the white-reflecting particles contained in the serum). 

L'ultima novità tra le creme occhi Vichy, parte della linea Liftactiv, è Liftactiv Serum 10 - un prodotto non solo per gli occhi, ma anche per le ciglia! Vichy ha infatti deciso creare un prodotto che avesse, insieme alla normale azione illuminante delle creme occhi, un'azione rinforzante sulle ciglia.

Does it do what they say? 

Yes. At first I experienced some lashes fallout, which scared me a bit (also, because no one else that was doing the test with me experienced the same thing), but after 2 weeks of usage, the "fallout alert" ended, and my lashes look and feel healthy.

Sì. All'inizio devo ammettere di essermi spaventata: per le prime due settimane le mie ciglia cadevano ad ogni massaggio con il siero e ad ogni struccaggio. Dopo le prime due settimane, però, l'allarme caduta è rientrato ed ora le ciglia sembrano e sono sane.

How to use it

Massage the serum from the inner to the outer corner of your eyes, both on the lower and upper lashline, until the cream is absorbed. End your massage in a "lash curling" motion. 

Come usarlo

Bisogna massaggiare il siero dall'angolo interno a quello esterno dell'occhio, quasi come se stessimo lisciando la parte di pelle nel contorno degli occhi. Sia a livello di palpebra inferiore, che superiore, finché il fluido non sarà assorbito completamente. Il massaggio si conclude con un movimento stile "piegaciglia". 

Liftactiv Serum 10 looks like a white, dense, and a bit sticky fluid. Its consistency allows you to know exactly how much the massage should last (until the sticky sensation is over). It is available at your local pharmacy, and costs around 30 euros.

Liftactiv Serum 10 ha l'aspetto di un fluido bianco, denso, ed un po' appiccicoso. Proprio questa sua particolare consistenza ci permette di sapere esattamente quando terminare il massaggio (ossìa, quando la sensazione di appiccicoso sarà terminata). Il siero è disponibile presso tutte le farmacie e parafarmacie d'Italia che vendano Vichy ed ha un costo di circa 30 euro.

Review: La Roche Posay Toleriane Teint Crème d'Eau Hydratante and Mousse Mattifiante foundations.

This spring, La Roche Posay has launched two new foundations for their famous Toleriane Teint range, namely Crème d'Eau Hydratante, and Mousse Mattifiante.

Questa primavera, La Roche-Posay ha lanciato due nuovi fondontinta della gamma Toleriane Teint, ossìa l'Acqua Crema Idratante, e la Mousse Effetto Matt.

Toleriane Crème d'Eau Hydratante is targeted to normal to dry skins, and it is a foundation with the consistency of a tinted moisturizer. It is highly hydrating (claims are 12 hours of continuous hydration), feels fresh and light on the skin, but has a very good coverage. Very soft, it has a luminous finish that is not too dewy or glowy, so it is quite suitable for normal to combination skins too. People with combination skins may need to powder a bit on the nose and apples of the cheeks, or try blending in with Beauty Blender sponge (to be honest, I have the La Roche Posay oval shaped sponge and it works wonders, so if you have the opportunity to have this free gift at your local pharmacy, do not miss it).

Available in 5 shades, SPF 20, price is around 20€.

Toleriane Acqua Crema Idratante è indicato per le pelli da normali a secche, ed è un fondotinta con la consistenza di una crema colorata. E' estremamente idratante (il claim è di 12 ore di continua idratazione), ed ha una freschezza ed una leggerezza sulla pelle, che sembra quasi difficile credere abbia anche una buona coprenza. Molto soffice, questo fondotinta illumina in maniera discreta, perciò si rende un buon alleato anche delle pelli da normali a miste. Queste ultime, però, dovranno ricorrere ad un po' di cipria su naso e guance, oppure alla stesura con una spugnetta tipo Beauty Blender (io, ad essere sincera, ho quella proprio di La Roche Posay, che è identica e funziona alla perfezione, quindi se potete ottenerla in omaggio nella vostra farmacia, fiondatevi).

Toleriane Mousse Mattifiante is more targeted to combination to oily skins, although I can assure you, its wonderful velvet-like finish can easily suit people with a normal to dry skin too. 

Long-lasting, this light mousse provides a very good coverage and will resist transpiration. You can apply it very easily with a brush or with your fingers and obtain a nice level of blending.

My only gripe with it is the discrepancy between its color range and the afore-metioned Crème d'Eau Hydrantante's range. In fact, I have both foundation in the shade 03 and the Mousse Mattifiante foundation is way darker with a different undertone.

Same shade range, same SPF, same price.

Toleriane Mousse Effetto Matt è invece più indicato per le pelli da miste a grasse, anche se vi posso assicurare che il suo finish vellutato rende bene anche sulle pelli da normali a secche. 

Duratura, questa mousse leggera ha una coprenza ottimale e resiste alla traspirazione. Si può applicare facilmente con un pennello o con le dita, ottenendo pressoché lo stesso grado di sfumatura. 

L'unica pecca è la discrepanza incredibile tra la gamma di colori di questi due fondotinta. Difatti, io li ho tutti e due nella colorazione 03 e la Mousse Effetto Matt è decisamete più scura e con un sottotono diverso. 

Stessa gamma di colori, stesso SPF, stesso prezzo di prima.

To be honest, I love both foundations. They're recommended to people with sensitive skins (like every other product from the brand) easily available everywhere, and have a decent price.

The only negative side, I find to be a poor color range. Other then that, if you find a nice match for your skin color, I suggest you give them a try! 

Francamente a me piacciono entrambi i fondotinta. Sono indicati per le pelli sensibili (come del resto qualsiasi altro prodotto del marchio), facilmente reperibili ovunque ed hanno un prezzo onesto.

L'unica nota negativa è probabilmente la gamma di colori molto scarna. A parte questo, se riuscite a trovare il vostro colore, vi suggerisco di provarli!

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Abstraction and Vision review

Following my previous review of a Chanel product which disappointed me deeply, I will now talk about two little gems I found from the Chanel make up line: the Illusion d'Ombre eyeshadows.

Di seguito alla mia precedente recensione di un prodotto Chanel che mi ha delusa tantissimo, eccovi una recensione positiva di due gioiellini trovati proprio nella linea make up di Chanel: gli Illusion d'Ombre.

These eyeshadows are normally described as cream shadows, although their consistency is really peculiar: they look like a cream, feel like mousse, blend and set as a powder. This is what makes them special and a great product, eventhough the price is incredibly high.
The color range is chic and versatile, the shimmers are visible and clear, but not tacky, and they stay on all day even on droopy lids like mine.

Questi ombretti vengono solitamente descritti come ombretti in crema, sebbene la loro consistenza sia molto più peculiare: all'occhio sembrano crema, al tatto mousse, ma si sfumano e si fissano come una polvere. E' questa caratteristica a renderli speciali, anche se il prezzo è incredibilmente alto.

La gamma di colori è chic e versatile, gli shimmer sono visibili, ma non eccessivi o grezzi, e restano intatti tutto il giorno anche sulle palpebre cadenti come la mia. 

If you are on the hunt for something that gives you a quick, easy, elegant fix - both for nights out and day time - I highly suggest you look into these eyeshadows.
I have been using one of them pretty much every other day since January, and I can tell you there is still a lot of product left, because a. you don't need much; b. they stay on all day long.

Se state cercando qualcosa di rapido, facile, ma elegante - sia per le serate che per il giorno - vi suggerisco proprio questi ombretti.

Io ne uso uno praticamente un giorno sì ed uno no da Gennaio, eppure mi è rimasto ancora un sacco di prodotto nella confezione perché a. non occorre metterne molto; b. resta intatto tutto il giorno.

As you can tell from the pictures, not every color behaves the same: some of them are full shades, some others give more of a "shimmer wash" finish, but can be easily built up. The latter, when built up, give the illusion of a glossy eye without using gloss.

Come si può vedere dalle foto, non tutti i colori hanno lo stesso effetto: alcuni sono colori pieni, altri sono degli shimmer che però possono essere modulati. Questi ultimi, quando modulati, danno l'illusione di un glossy eye senza l'utilizzo del gloss.

Illusion d'Ombre de Chanel is a multi-tasking product: it can be used on its own, or used as a base, or as an additional glitter wash over some other eyeshadow.

Illusion d'Ombre de Chanel è un prodotto multi-tasking: può essere utilizzato da solo come ombretto, o come base, o come glitter sopra un altro ombretto.

The price is over 30 € - but I would say it is really worth it. I am definitely investing in some other color (oh the black one is to die for!)

Il prezzo è sopra i 30€ - ma devo ammettere che è un prodotto che vale ogni spicciolo. Farò certamente l'investimento per qualche altro colore (il nero è bello da morire!).
